ST. PAUL'S ANGLICAN CHURCH
Celebrating 150 years of 'Reflecting the Light' of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
2009 was definitely a year of celebration. So many events marked 150 years of Anglican tradition in our beautiful little community of Southampton. Just to list a few: A.C.W. dinners, fish dinners, Historical Service held in Pioneer Park, 3 concert series, the Bishop's visit, so many people worked hard to help us remember our roots as Anglicans. Take a moment to remember the incredible effort that has gone on for 150 years to help make St. Paul's the beautiful church that it is. Our building is definitely a major historical landmark in Southampton. Our people, however, are truly the cornerstone of our church built on the foundation of faith we have in Jesus Christ. We should all feel very blessed to be able to enjoy such an awesome feeling of success.
Nearing the end of 2009 we at St. Paul's and the entire community has felt the loss of Rev. Margaret's leadership. Rev. Margaret and Ralph have worked so hard over the past 10 years to help us in our Christian journey. As Christians we have faith in the power of prayer, so we must all include Rev. Margaret and Ralph in our daily prayers, asking God to help in a speedy recovery for Rev. Margaret.
2010 will bring a whole new list of challenges. In planning your life for 2010 and beyond please carefully consider your ministry whether it be physically helping, financially supporting or both, all for securing the future of St. Paul's. God has blessed us with an incredible task as we continue to be stewards of St. Paul's insuring that the Anglican tradition continues here in Southampton for many years to come. Put your trust in the Lord for he is good and may the light of Christ shine upon you.
